It's been a long while since my last post but thought I might put a few photo's of some rooms I've been working on in the Emerson house. I've still got so much to do but limited funds and lack of creativity has slowed me down.

The top floor is going to be a large bathroom but I have my heart set on a bathroom suite from lili-anne miniatures. The roll top bath they have is absolutely gorgeous but I will have to save a few more pennies before I can afford it. The detail on the whole suite is amazing, definitely worth saving for.

The kitchen area, lots more little details to add. I've still got to redo the flooring, as I think wooden floorboards would look a lot better. The units are from mollysue miniatures (www.mollysueminiatures.com) her work is gorgeous and so detailed. Definitely worth looking at her website. I'm going to be painting the kitchen island in white so it matches the other items of furniture. As you can see, I've got lots to do!!!

So, that's about it. I've been working on a few other properties and will upload a few pictures soon. xx

New House

A couple of weeks ago I fell in love with a house on eBay and after an anxious 7 day wait I was lucky enough to win it ( an early birthday present). It is a vintage Green Leaf Emerson Row and it is gorgeous!! It has such lovely full length windows and light, airy rooms. Luckily the lady was willing to send it by courier and last Wednesday it arrived (after a morning sitting impatiently by the window waiting for the van, my husband said I was like a little child :)!!) It came in perfect condition and I couldn't wait to pop a few things in it :) I have recently become more in love with the American style house and feel they have so much character and charm. Its just a shame that they cost so much to ship to Britain :( I have included a few pictures and I will later add some photo's of the room I've started. I haven't done a lot, just a lot of staring and thinking :)

Also Welcome to my new followers, I will try and be a lot better with posting. x

Sea Breeze Cafe

I thought I'd just put a few more photo's of my seaside cafe on here. I've still got lots of finishing touches to do, plus cladding the outside. The dolls are by Sue Emsell, who I've bought several dolls from. The kitchen units are made from Elf Miniature kits. Hope you like it. x

I haven't been very good at posting on this blog, but felt I hadn't got any finished projects to show. I  haven't really completed any of my projects, I just seem to float between them all!! I should really just stick with one thing at a time and then maybe I might finish something :) At the moment I am doing the teenage boys room in Mountfield, Sea breeze cafe, hairdressers/ beauty salon and a pet shop!!! That's not even counting the other properties I haven't even started. Never mind, I'm enjoying doing so many different things : )

Above are a few photo's of some of my current projects, they all still need a lot of work and finishing touches.

I decided to start on the inside of Mountfield first as I was a bit daunted by the outside and I think it looks okay for the moment. I am currently working on a young girls bedroom and the kitchen. I've nearly finished the girls room, just got to put coving up and change the light and maybe the flooring. I wanted the room to be really sweet and girlie.

New to Blogging

After looking at everyone's blogs for several months I've finally decided to make my own one! I'm not very good on the computer, so it might take me a while to get the hang of everything! At the start of the year I became interested in miniatures, especially 12th scale properties. I bought my first house in March and fell in love with this hobby. I now own several more properties and have become completely addicted!!! My main project at the moment is the Mountfield house from the Dolls House Emporium, which I bought already built from ebay.
